新しいADTがリリースされた案内がありました。
Eclipse から ADT をバージョンアップする方法を書いておきます。
※すでにEclipseにADTがインストールされていることが前提です。
Eclipseのメニューから「ヘルプ＞新規ソフトウェアのインストール」を選びます。
「対象作業」欄から
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
を選び「次へ」ボタンを押します。
インストール可能なソフトが表示されますので
「完了」ボタンを押します。
証明書を信頼するか聞かれるので
該当箇所にチェックを入れ、「OK」ボタンを押します。
インストールが終わると再起動をうながされるので
「はい」ボタンを押してEclipseを再起動してください。
これでADTのバージョンアップは完了です。
ちなみに、「ヘルプ＞更新の確認」で
ADTを含むインストール済みのソフトすべてのバージョンアップができるので
こちらの方が簡単ですね(^_^;)

見た瞬間、直感的に

と感じて、即購入しました。
合わせて
AndroidSDK開発のレシピ―104個のレシピで学ぶAndroidアプリ開発の極意
という本も購入しました。
この2冊、スゴクいいです。
他に出されているAndroid関連書籍もいいんですが、
Androidの世界はとても広いので
どうしてもテーマを絞って書かれているので
一部の内容がごっそり抜けていたりします。
とくに入門書とかは、慣れてもらうことを目的としているので
Androidでできることすべては書かれていないことが多かったりします。
（全部書いたら混乱するでしょうしね(^_^;)）
この2冊は、全体を網羅しながら
「Androidでなにができるのか？」
「どうやってそれをやるのか？」
がわかりやすく書かれています。
いままでネットで情報集めていたのが
この本を見ればまとめてわかる感じ。
Androidでどんなことができるかわかるので
パラパラ見ているだけで
「こんなアプリ作れそうだな～」
とアプリのアイデアが浮かんできたり、
いままで作り方がわからないでおいといたアプリアイデアも
「あ、これ使えばできるじゃん！」
と思えたり。
サンプルコードも
コメントがたくさん入っていてわかりやすい。
入門レベルをクリアした人にはオススメの2冊です。

アメリカの調査会社IDCがこんな見通しを発表しました。

Android、2014年に世界2位のスマートフォンOSに――IDC予測
スマートフォン市場は好調に伸びており、中でもAndroidが大きく勢力を伸ばしそうだ――米調査会社IDCがこのような見通しを発表した。
IDCによると、今年の世界スマートフォン出荷台数2億6960万台と、前年から55.4％増加する見込み。同社の以前の予想を10％以上上回るという。これに対し、スマートフォンも含めた携帯電話全体の出荷台数は14.1％増の見込みだ。スマートフォンは2011年も24.5％という高い成長率を記録するが、2014年には13.6％と成長ペースが低下すると同社は予想している。
「スマートフォンは今年、世界の携帯電話市場の回復促進要因となっている」とIDCは述べ、特にAndroidは注目だとしている。同OSはカスタマイズが可能なためベンダーの支持を得ており、またユーザーも、使いやすさやアプリの増加から、急速に同OSを受け入れるようになっているという。
同社の予想では、Androidは2010年から2014年にかけて、シェアを16.3％から24.6％に拡大し、世界第2位のスマートフォン OSの座を獲得するという。Symbianは首位を守るが、シェアを40.1％から32.9％に落とす見込み。BlackBerryはシェアはあまり変わらないが、Androidに抜かれて2位から3位に転落、AppleのiOSはシェアを14.7％から10.9％へと落とすという。Windows Mobileは順位こそ変わらないが、シェアを6.8％から9.8％に伸ばしてiOSに迫る見通しだ。

世界中で急成長しているスマートフォン市場ですが
今年の伸び率は、以前のIDCの予測を10％以上も上回っているようで
ますます勢いが出てますね。
その中でも一番伸びているのがAndroid。
日本だとSymbianもBalckBerryもWindowsMobileもあんまりパッとせず
iPhoneとの一騎打ちのような様相で
まだiPhoneのシェアが高いですが、
世界の流れからすると
日本でもシェア逆転するのもそう遠くなさそうです。

先日、日本Androidの会の9月定例会に参加してきました。
内容は
１．電子書籍出版元年
２．Oracle訴訟について
３．Android Application Award
でした。
1部では日本電子出版協会の副会長さん（50代くらい？）が
「あとで○○でググっておいてください」
と言っていて、
「『ググる』って一般用語になったんだなぁ」
と、ちょっと感慨に浸ってしまいました(笑)
電子書籍に関しては、
iPadをはじめとしたタブレット型端末が浸透してきて
急速に市場を拡大しつつあります。
日本の出版業界も、大手企業が手を組んだ団体ができるなど
にわかにあわただしくなってきました。
KDDIの方が、AUマーケットでの携帯電話（ガラケー）向けの
電子書籍コンテンツの内訳を話してくれたんですが、
一番利用額が大きいのは「コミック」なんだそうです。
しかも売上の9割という圧倒的な数字。
そういえば、先月の定例会では
Androidマーケットの中で「コミック」カテゴリだけが
唯一日本が強いとかなんとか言っていました。
（内容うろ覚えですみません(=_=;)）
ここらへんは日本人の得意分野なんでしょうねぇ。
ちなみに、ここ数年「ちょっとエッチな電子マンガ」が
だいぶ売れ行き好調なようです。
モバイルサイトとかにもよくバナー見かけますね。
Mixiモバイルでもよく見かける、あれですｗ
AndroidはiPhoneと違ってアダルト規制弱いですから
アプリで同じような展開をすれば
なかなか美味しい思いをできそうです(笑)
